Frieze Projects is a non-profit program of artists’ commissions realized annually at Frieze New York. These new, site specific commissioned projects took place both outside the fair, engaging with the idyllic landscape of Randall’s Island, and inside the fair, offering playful and at times incongruous interruptions of the experience of the fair. Frieze Projects have included sculptures, installations, performances, actions, videos, and a series of historical tributes to iconic artists’ projects from the past. Alemani curated six editions, from 2012 to 2017.
